This newly-uncovered source eliminates the audio flaws that have been present on previous digital versions. Disc Two features the John Coltrane Quartet's only live performances of the suite recorded at the Aunt Bess Jazz Festival in 1965 band for the first time, the long rumored sextet version of the opening movement.Reviews:
''A Love Supreme'' is a jazz studio album recorded by John Coltrane's quartet in December 1964 and released by Impulse! Records (catalogue number AS-77) in February 1965. It is generally considered to be among Coltrane's greatest works, as it melded the hard bop sensibilities of his early career with the free jazz style he adopted later. - Wikipedia
