The last thing we had on our mind in September of 2009 was recording a CD of Christmas music. Enter Barbara Cray, who asked us to record a soundtrack of handpicked Christmas Carols for her "European Christmas Markets" DVD special. We thought, "Well, that sounds like fun!" The songs that Barbara picked really piqued our interest. She also wanted them arranged with folk stylings, more specifically the sound of The Kingston Trio. We couldn't wait to get started. A few of the songs like Fum Fum Fum, Masters In This Hall and Friendly Beasts were distant memories like ghosts from Christmas Past, captivating us in short order. We also snuck in some of our most-loved tunes from "Last Month of the Year,' just to round everything out. This CD is the end result and we think you'll love it as much as we do.
